Membership Sites using EasyMember Pro
I’m just wondering if Membership Site Scripts are of interest to anyone right now – especially when a very well priced and easily set up one is now available, that was highly recommended by a Newsletter Author, in a recent email I received.
I’ve been receiving Newsletters from Martin Avis, of the Kickstart Newsletter, for some time now and I have come to realise that he recommends only things that ARE useful and well priced.
Now – I admit that I’m not in a position, just yet, to set up a Membership Site. However, I HAVE set this up on a domain that WILL be a membership site soon. I admit – the pricing and comments below drew me in…..and I wanted to try it out while it’s still at this price!
EasyMember Pro, Membership Site Script
Martin’s comments below are very relevant and as to setting up a membership site in its basic form – the instructions are clear and very easy to follow… Membership Sites using EasyMember Pro are not difficult to set up!!
I have reproduced, with permission, the section of Martin’s email below that interested me – just for your information.
……Over the years I have tested and used a lot of different membership site platforms – some very cheap ones and some very expensive ones.
I have also tried various options that turn WordPress blogs into membership sites, but have never really liked those ones very much.
Almost all my existing sites are run on a very good, but quite technically challenging program. It was also one of the more expensive options. Although it has masses of features and great support, it does require a high degree of technical skill to set up.
The very first site I set up using it took me nearly five days – and some delving into the underlying code – to get it working. Now, of course, I’m up to speed and can set up a site much faster, but for a complete beginner it would be a real challenge.
So against that background I was a tiny bit suspicious when my good friend (yes, she really is – that wasn’t some marketing platitude) Kim Standerline asked if I would like to test out her new membership script: EasyMemberPro.
The history of the program is that Kim developed it some years ago to her own specifications – the key one of which was that it had to be dead easy to set up and use. Before the scripts was completely finished, Kim, for a variety of personal reasons, sold the ownership to a programmer who had big plans to finish it off and get it to market.
He was a bit half-hearted about it and although he did release it, there were still a lot of bugs. It worked, but it was clunky. I had road tested that version and good as it was, it wasn’t ‘quite there’. So I felt unable to recommend it.
A few months ago, Kim bought the rights to the program back and with her business partner Karl Warren and a top-flight programming wizard they have been updating, smoothing out and bug squashing for all they are worth.
I was very interested to see the result and so when Kim offered me a copy of EMP I jumped at the chance.
As it happens I needed to set up a new membership site as a backend to a product I sell, so this was a great opportunity to test EMP in a real life situation with real content and real members.
The first thing to note is that installing the script on my site was easy. The manual explains the process in clear step-by-step fashion and I had no bother at all.
The next thing to mention is that after the setup I hardly needed to use the manual at all! Everything I needed to do was easy, and quite instinctual. I actually worried that I was doing something wrong because it WAS so easy – I’m not used to that from membership programs!
My needs were quite sophisticated – I wanted to have some content on the site when members first join, and then new content to be added at a set number of days later. And I also wanted to be able to pre-write and store an email to be sent to each member when new content was made available to him or her – that’s something the very expensive membership program that I have previously used cannot do, but EMP handled it with ease!
All in all I built the new site, populated with a huge amount of content (both instant and future) changed all the look and feel of the template by adding my own graphics, and added all the members in one morning.
A few short hours instead of the days that previous sites have taken.
And at no time did I have any reason to even look at the files and folders that make up the program. There was not one techie thing needed on my part.
I have to take my hat off to Kim and her team. They really have created the easiest membership software that I have ever used. It was a total pleasure.
Are there still bugs? Well I found one small one during the entire process and after reporting it was delighted to have a message from the programmer a few hours later to report that it was fixed. Now that’s service!
Membership sites are such a good idea, but until now they have been either eye-wateringly expensive, or way too technical for anyone but an advanced programmer to get to grips with.
Now both objections are gone.
EasyMemberPro is, as the name suggests, dead easy to use. Everything is obvious – and even if it isn’t, the manual is clear and helpful.
EasyMemberPro is also being sold at a very low cost……..
For what it’s worth from me – I would definitely recommend this membership Site Script – the price is also very good!
No Need for Information Overload!
That’s what I said!!
NO need for Information Overload!
True Story from Mr Chris Farrell:
“Please can I tell you a quick story.
I started online – as a COMPLETE NEWCOMER – in Feb 2008.
I started making $250/day – all online – after about 6 months.
After 9 months I had my first thousand dollar day. However…
…I was only able to achieve this – after three things happened:
- I spent some time EDUCATING myself learning some new skills
- I made sure I UNDERSTOOD these new skills
- I IMPLEMENTED these new skills
The good thing about a web business is that great incomes can be made – and it is pretty inexpensive to begin.
The bad thing about a web business – is it is very easy to fall victim to INFORMATION OVERLOAD.
So many fail online – for this very reason.
To address this – and to prevent this happening to you – I have created 21 Days To Success.Within 21 days – you will have a complete understanding of EXACTLY how to create a successful web business and make money online.
You can now see how to access the success available to anyone who wants to find that success! ”

So on behalf of Mr Chris Farrell – I offer you the chance to find out for yourself, what is the best way to learn.
EUI - Educate :: Understand :: Implement!
EUI - Click here to see the origin of the acronym!
Or – click here and find out for yourself with a set of Free Videos.
I wish you success!
Warm Regards to you

Email Delivery Problems
Email is a great tool – BUT, it’s often a real time waster and email delivery problems can mean you don’t see information you should!
I get regular emails from Martin Avis’ Kickstart Newsletter. He wanted to draw attention to potential problems with email and posted the following out. I wondered if it might be a useful think to pass on – it’s here in its entirety!
With delivery of emails being somewhat hit and miss lately, I’m never sure if Kickstart has made it through to you or not.
The latest issue – #1253 – was sent out yesterday, but if for some reason it hasn’t arrived you can read it online at Kickstart Newsletter Archive

Incidentally, the biggest problem with email delivery is that many services take the view that anything out of the ordinary is spam unless you tell them otherwise. GMail, Yahoo and Hotmail are particularly prone to this.
Unfortunately, you will not know what you are not receiving because they tend to hide the filtered emails away from you!
When I first discovered this with my service (run by GMail) I was astounded and shocked to find that there were hundreds of perfectly legitimate emails that I had not received because they had been flagged by GMail as suspicious. Many of those were personal messages from friends and family.
It was up to me to find them and individually flag each one as ‘Not Spam’ so that messages from those people would in future arrive in my inbox.
The suspect emails, which are generally stored for 30 days, are held in a special Spam folder that is on the email providers website – NOT the one that is stored on your computer. With GMail, for example, you have to login in to their website and inside your account look for a folder called Spam (this may not be immediately visible as it is sometimes hidden under another heading.) On mine that folder is ’4 more’.
Once you find it the chances are that it will be full of real spam, but in amongst all the trash will most likely be emails you really did want to receive. Mark each one as Not Spam and in future you should start receiving them normally.
You may have to check that online spam folder on a regular basis.
Best wishes,
Martin Avis

Plugins: Fast Secure Contact Forms for WordPress websites
All websites tend to have SOME form of communication, some might just be the provision of a straight email address and maybe contact numbers.
Other web sites may well need a set of details collected to fulfill orders or clarify question detail…ad infinitum!!
When I was involved in web design with a previous business, I struggled with the contact forms and the functioning of them until I got the hang of it!
Now with the likes of a WordPress plugin, ALL the problems are taken away and the set up of a contact form is really a doddle.
One plugin I have found to be really quick and simple is the Fast Secure Contact Form, made by a gentleman by the name of Mike Challis.
I put together a set of different forms (with the one system) for a chaffeured car business I have driven for – Unicorn Courtesy Cars. You’ll see one for Airport Booking, one for Sea Ports and one for a tour type of journey….and of course a basic contact form as well…
Anyway – have a look for the plugin – do a search for: Fast Secure Contact Form and have a play. I’m sure you may already have a favourite, but if not – try this one!
Don’t forget tho’ as with all updates in WordPress – keep plugins and themes up to date when the new updates show up, for your own peace of mind…
